Terms of Use

Plain-language rules for using WayForward. Please read them before you join.

Last updated: October 12, 2026

The short version. WayForward connects members with independent mentors. Mentoring here is coaching and guidance, not therapy or professional advice. You must be 18 or older. Payments go through Stripe. Keep your conversations and payments on the platform. If something goes wrong, tell us and we will try to make it right.

1. Who can use WayForward

You must be at least 18 years old. Membership is by application and approval, and we may decline or end an account when we think it is the right thing to do for our community. You are responsible for keeping your login private and for what happens under your account.

2. What WayForward is

WayForward is a platform that introduces members to independent mentors and gives them a private place to message, schedule sessions, share materials and pay. Mentors are independent professionals. They are not employees or agents of WayForward. We review mentor applications, but we do not supervise their sessions and we cannot guarantee any mentor's advice or results.

3. Coaching is not therapy or professional advice

Mentoring and coaching here is guidance, accountability and skill-building. It is not therapy, counseling, medical care, legal advice or financial advice. Mentors do not act as your doctor, therapist, lawyer or financial advisor. Nobody can promise a particular result.

If you are in danger or in crisis, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line right away. In the United States you can call or text 988. Mentors cannot provide emergency help.

4. Payments, cancellations and refunds

5. Keep messages and payments on the platform

The platform is funded by the payments that go through it, and its safety tools only work when conversations happen here. While you work with a mentor you met here, and for 3 months after your last paid period, please do not move payments or conversations off the platform, and do not use the platform to collect other people's contact details. Phone numbers, emails and outside links in messages are removed automatically, and messages that suggest moving elsewhere are flagged for review. If the team confirms that someone tried to move off the platform, they get a warning, and after three confirmed warnings the account is paused and reviewed. The Member Agreement and the Mentor Agreement explain this in more detail.

6. How we expect everyone to behave

If you see something that is not okay, use Report a problem on the Messages page. You can end a mentorship and block a mentor at any time.

7. Your content

You own what you write: your profile, messages, growth log entries and reviews. You give us permission to store and show it as needed to run the service, for example showing your profile to your mentor, or your review on a mentor's profile. Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience. We may hide reviews that break the rules (abuse, contact details, false claims).

8. Suspending or ending an account

We may pause or end an account if these terms or your agreement are broken, if someone is at risk, or while we look into a report. A mentor whose 6 most recent reviews in a row are all 1 or 2 stars is paused automatically for review. When we can, we will tell you why. You can stop using the platform at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account from your Profile page.

9. No promises, and limits on responsibility

We provide WayForward as it is. We work hard to keep it running and safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, WayForward is not responsible for the advice or conduct of any mentor, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.

10. If we disagree

Please contact us first. Most problems can be settled by talking. If we cannot settle it, the laws of the State of Texas, USA, apply to these terms, and any court case will be brought in the courts located in Texas.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is meaningful, we will tell you and, where needed, ask you to accept it again. The date at the top shows the latest version.

12. Contact
